Charles "Chaz" Willett Jr. is the author of "Imani Kuumba Umoja," "Seductive Words Evoking Sensual Harmony," a freelance journalist, spoken-word artist and poet. A proud Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity member, Chaz is also a former member of The Nommo Gathering Black Writers Collective and a previous featured artist in Vboogie Entertainment's Black Erotica series. He's performed at venues throughout Chicagoland, NW Indiana, Pennsylvania, Atlanta and Dallas, including The ETA Arts Theatre, Kennedy King College, The Hot House, Some Like it Black, Jazz and Java, The Black Orchid Theater, Intas, Jack's Tap, TJ's in the Park, DePaul University, The Ethiopian Diamond Cafe, The Reading Room-Hyde Park, C'est si Bon Restaurant, The Hidden Lounge and The Conservatory. In addition to being a guest of "The Mo' Show" on WVON and Black on Black Radio in Quebec, Canada, he's written and performed in productions for The Second City Training Center and appeared in The Around the Coyote Festival and Chicago Sketchfest. Chaz earned a B.A. in Communications while playing football at Eureka College's--three-year varsity letterman who played both the offensive tackle and tight-end positions.
