According to the Huffington Post, Illinoisans awoke Tuesday to 150 new state laws on the books, including a ban on the sale or trade of shark fin, a new strip club surcharge and a number of less widely publicized laws -- such as ambulances no longer being required to pay tolls.
The 150 laws are far fewer than the 214 state laws that went into effect in 2012, perhaps a result of the Illinois state legislature having another thing or two on the agenda this year.
