CHICAGO (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama will be in Chicago next week to talk about her campaign to end childhood obesity.
Obama will come to her hometown Tuesday to meet with mayors from around the country at a Walgreens drug store that was expanded to include basic groceries. Obama has said healthy, affordable and accessible food is part of ending childhood obesity. The first lady will give remarks at the store.
Obama will then visit Iron Street Urban Farms with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The seven-acre site on Chicago's South Side produces food year-round.
Mayors from around the U.S. will be in Chicago for a summit on food accessibility.
