Mayor Rahm Emanuel declared Aug. 18 "Shannon Brown Day."
Brown, a Maywood native and player for the Phoenix Suns, hosted his 2nd Annual Wood-Star Fest weekend. The weekend included a two-day concert - with his wife Monica as headliner - on Aug. 18 in Union Park; the Shannon Brown Basketball Clinic and a Celebrity Basketball game.
