THANK YOU for this sobering and yet powerful post. As an incest and rape survivor who has dedicated most of my adult life to end all forms of gender-based violence globally, I can't underscore enough all of the poignant points that you made in your post. More often than not women are blamed for the sexual and domestic violence that we experience. It's my hope that more and more and more of us who are able to speak out, will speak out about the atrocities that happened against our will. The shame shouldn't ever, ever be on us the victim/survivors but on the perpetrators. I look forward to the free public screening and discussion of NO! The Rape Documentary on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00pm where women and men come together, on screen, to break the silence about sexual assault and other forms of violence against women.
