Curtain Goin’ Up! – Broadway’s hit musical, The Color Purple, based on Alice Walker’s Pulitizer Prize-winning novel, comes to Governors State University’s Center for the Performing Arts — for one night only! — on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m. Based on the Walker family saga, it tells the story of one woman’s journey to overcome adversity set to soul-stirring music.

“Holiday Affair 2011” sponsored by Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will support Project Holiday Cheer, the organization’s initiative to help children affected by domestic abuse and those who do not have a place to call home In order to enjoy the holiday season.
