Congrats–to Niva Lubin-Johnson, M.D. on her election to chair of the Board of Trus tees of the 113-year old National Medical Association at its 2008 convention in Atlanta, its birthplace. NMA, the largest and oldest organization that repre sents 25,000-plus African American physicians in the U.S., was founded in 1895, t a time when the American Medical Association admitted only white physicians.
