Other inductees are Earl Caldwell, reporter and early civil rights activist (New York); Peggy Peterman, reporter, columnist and editorial writer, St. Petersburg Times in Florida, (posthumous); and Larry Whiteside, reporter, The Boston Globe (posthumous).

“Donors Recognition Day,” on Saturday, at Woodson Library, 95th and Halsted, will feature Christopher Benson, associate director of African American Studies and Journalism at the University of Illinois’ Urbana-Champaign campus as the keynoter.
