CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Pat Quinn plans to sign Illinois' Medicaid reform legislation into law.
Quinn is set to sign the legislation Tuesday
morning in downtown Chicago. His office says he'll be joined by the leaders of
the Illinois Department of Human Services and Illinois Department of Healthcare
and Family Services. Illinois State Senate President John Cullerton also is
slated to be there along with other lawmakers.
The state Legislature sent Quinn the legislation on
Jan. 6. Lawmakers say it aims to reduce costs, pay bills sooner and target
fraud.
