Suicide prevention group creates virtual memorial

Associated Press
CHICAGO (AP) — The Illinois chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has created a virtual memorial wall of those lost to suicide.

The state's chapter says the wall posted on its web site allows people to publically remember loved ones and to let other survivors know they aren't alone.

Each month is represented by a photo of a brick wall that can be clicked on to access a list of names, dates and descriptions.

To have a name included on the memorial wall, survivors can send the person's name, the date where the name should be listed and a donation in an amount of some significance to the donor.

The Illinois chapter's other programs include a community walk and a team in the Chicago marathon.
