McDONOUGH, Ga. (AP) — Rapper Waka Flocka Flame faces a court hearing after surrendering to Atlanta area police on drug and gun charges.
Henry County jail records show that the rapper,
whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, has a court appearance scheduled for
Tuesday after he surrendered to authorities Monday. His bond was listed at more
than $31,000.
He faces charges of possessing marijuana and a
controlled substance, possessing a firearm by a convicted felon and possessing
a firearm during a crime. The rapper also is charged with breaking the state's
anti-gang laws and violating probation for driving on a suspended license.
Waka Flocka Flame was on probation for a charge of
possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
