DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — Henry Ford Museum is hosting a new exhibit about prominent black inventor George Washington Carver.

The exhibit "George Washington Carver" opens Saturday at the museum in Dearborn and runs through Feb. 27. It's organized by The Field Museum in collaboration with Tuskegee University and the National Park Service.

The exhibit examines Carver's struggles and achievements as a scientist, conservationist, educator and humanitarian. It includes more than 100 artifacts from Carver's personal life and work, along with videos and interactive displays.

Henry Ford Museum is part of The Henry Ford, a suburban Detroit attraction that includes Greenfield Village. The exhibit includes some artifacts from The Henry Ford's collection, including a microscope used by Carver.
