A 50-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday morning on the West Side after gunfire erupted in the 3900 block of West Polk Street. Two others were wounded, police said.
The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The shooting occurred around 8:25 a.m. and the injured men, believed to be in their 50s, were taken to Mount Sinai and Stroger hospitals.
No arrests have been made, said Chicago Police News Affairs officer Laura Kubiak.
