Don Jackson, chairman and chief executive officer of Central City Productions, and U.S. Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.), at the 40th anniversary celebration earlier this month at the DuSable Museum for the Chicago-based television production company. CCP produces the nationally-televised Bud Billiken Parade, “Stellar Awards” and “Know Your Heritage,” among others. A commercial banking officer with (former) Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company at the time, Burris authorized the loan for Jackson to start the company.
