Daley consolidates Chicago city departments

Associated Press
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago's Mayor Richard Daley says the city will consolidate some departments in an effort to streamline government and save money.
Daley said Wednesday the consolidations will mean that several positions can be eliminated.
And the departments of General Services and Graphics will be consolidated.
This isn't the first department consolidation in Chicago. In October of 2008 ten departments were combined into four new departments.
