Zopp appointed head of Chicago Urban League

Business and civil leader Andrea Zopp tapped as next leader of the Chicago Urban League.

Jim Reynolds, chairman of the CUL’s board, will announce Zopp’s appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of the 94-year-old civil rights organization on Wednesday at its headquarters in Bronzeville.

Zopp, former executive vice president and general counsel at Exelon Corp., has been closely involved with the economic empowerment and civil rights work of the National Urban League for several years.

She succeeds interim president Herman Brewer.
