Belleville man killed in East St. Louis

Associated Press
EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in East St. Louis are investigating the death of a 28-year-old Belleville man, who was gunned down outside a convenience store.

Illinois State Police Lt. James Morrisey says Damario Moore stopped at the Crown Food Mart/Gas Station at about 4 a.m. Sunday. Morrisey says Moore was shot once after exchanging words with a group of men standing by the store's entrance.

A family member took Moore to Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital in East St. Louis, where he was pronounced dead.
