Associated Press

CHICAGO (AP) — Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, White Sox legend Frank Thomas and former Illinois football star Simeon Rice will be among the players, coaches and others inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame in September.

This year's class of inductees will also include Chicago Blackhawks Chairman Rocky Wirtz, pro football Hall of Famer John Hannah and another former Illini football player, Gerry Sullivan.

Krzyzewski is a native of the Chicago area who has won four national titles while Thomas spent 16 seasons with the White Sox.

Hannah played 13 seasons in the NFL. Rice and Sullivan both went on to NFL careers after leaving Illinois.

Other inductees this year include former Chicago Cub Bill Madlock and former Blackhawk Jeremy Roenick.
