Snoop Dogg bringing youth football to Chicago

Associated Press
CHICAGO (AP) — Snoop Dogg is expanding his youth football league to Chicago.

Snoop plans to visit Chicago on Friday, when he'll reveal plans for a Chicago chapter of the Los Angeles-based Snoop Youth Football League. The rapper and actor will host a free clinic for about 200 boys between the ages of 8 and 14. The boys are from Chicago Housing Authority families.

Snoop's five-year-old youth football league is to start fielding teams in Chicago next year. Outside California, Chicago will be the first city to host the league.

Snoop also is scheduled to give out book bags and school supplies to 600 children while he's in Chicago.
