Testimony is set to resume in the trial of a former Chicago police official accused of lying about the torture of suspects in the 1970s and 1980s.
Former police Lt. Jon Burge has pleaded not guilty to perjury and obstruction of justice charges.
His trial in federal court began May 24, but proceedings were held only one day last week.
The government has been calling men who say they were shocked, suffocated and beaten by Burge and his officers. Some of the men's defense attorneys have also testified.
Dale Coventry, an attorney who represented convicted cop killer Andrew Wilson, is set to resume testifying Monday.
It was Wilson's claims of abuse that led to Burge's dismissal from the police department in 1993. Wilson died in prison in 2007.
