Wanna’ know the key component for success? Kimberly Ray, senior pastor of Church on The Rock in south suburban Matteson believes the secret ingredient is the power of prayer.
Raised under the powerful teaching and intercessory prayer ministry of the late Angie Ray, the sought after speaker learned at an early age the steps needed to manifest her desires through prayer.
“I understand people struggle with doubt…that cancels your prayers. You've got to have confidence that what you ask for is going to happen. I believe that part of the problem is that people won’t get up and do something-when the enemy comes we just take it. But we have been given dominion and authority,” said Ray, who's been in the ministry since age 19.
This year marks 25 years since her church's intercessory prayer ministry was launched. During the conferences and revivals the ministry hosts, workshops and classes are conducted on how to pray effectively. Locally, the annual event will be held in suburban Lombard, September 2- 5. Every Monday Ray hosts A Time of Intercession on the Word Network at 11 p.m. and on Total Living Network each Wednesday through Friday at 5:30 a.m.
