Rep. Jackson to endorse Quinn as Ill. governor

Associated Press
U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is expected to endorse Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn for the Feb. 2 primary election.

The two Chicago Democrats have planned a Friday afternoon news conference in the south Chicago suburb of Matteson (MAT'-uh-sun) to give more details.

Quinn and Illinois Comptroller Dan Hynes are vying for their party's nomination. Seven Republicans are seeking the GOP nomination.

Jackson, a seven-term Congressman, is seeking re-election. He's the son of longtime civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
