Early voting starts in Feb. 2 primary

Associated Press
You can cast your ballot soon for the Feb. 2 primary.

Early voting starts Monday.

The state Board of Elections says early voting centers will be open through Jan. 28 for residents to go in and cast a ballot.

Some locations will be open on weekends and on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The State Board of Elections says nearly a million people in Illinois cast a ballot at an early voting center in the 2008 election.

The upcoming election is a big one. All statewide offices starting with governor are on the ballot. So is President Barack Obama's old Senate seat.
