Jackson judge set to clarify estate ruling

Defender Staff Report
LOS ANGELES — The issue of power over Michael Jackson's estate is back before a judge. Attorneys for the estate's administrators and Jackson's mother want a judge to clarify exactly what authority he has given two men over the singer's estate. The judge earlier this month granted music executive John McClain and attorney John Branca authority to handle numerous creditor claims and lawsuits facing the estate. But there is a dispute over how the judge's order should be worded. L. Londell McMillan, who represents Katherine Jackson, says his side will raise other issues during Thursday's hearing. He says they want more accountability and will ask the judge to make the administrators more cooperative with information.
