House next to Obama's Chicago home for sale

You can be President Barack Obama's Chicago neighbor if you've got the dough to buy the house next door.

Obama's neighbors are selling their 17-room home in a ritzy South Side neighborhood, but it doesn't have a price tag yet.

The listing agent is collecting offers on the home to see what prospective buyers will pay for the "Obama factor." Homes in the pricey neighborhood go for between $1 million and $2.5 million.

Listing agent Matt Garrison said the current owners bought the 6,000-square-foot home in 1973 for $35,000.

But living next door to the Obamas isn't without its hassles. The block is barricaded and getting on the street means being on a Secret Service list.

The Obamas have spent little time at their Chicago home since moving to the White House.
