Authorities said five people were wounded in a drive-by shooting Thursday night on the city's South Side.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says four people, including a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, were transported to local hospitals in serious-to-critical condition.
He says another person is in fair-to-serious condition.
Chicago Police Officer JoAnn Taylor says none of the injuries appear life-threatening. She says the shootings occurred about 8:25 p.m. Thursday.
No one is in custody. An investigation is ongoing.
A number of ambulances responded to transport the victims, forcing the temporary closure of part of 53rd Street.
