I’m writing to you about a very sensitive issue. I’ve been married to my husband for 12 years now and lately for some reason I am just not attracted to him anymore. He’s a very good provider, respectful and treats me like a queen. We don’t have any kids because both of us have very demanding careers. I don’t know what is happening in our relationship, but we are just not communicating anymore like we used to, and it’s very upsetting to me. Recently I’ve been going out to lunch and having a few drinks after work with one of my single, male co-workers. I feel very guilty about hanging out with the other guy, but I’ve never laughed so much in my life! It has been the most wonderful time, and I always feel appreciated when I’m with him. I’m not sure whether or not I still want to be with my husband. What should I do?

Dear Caught Up,
Wow. First of all, let me say that the way things are going and with your actions, you are seriously headed for disaster. Sister, you really need to sit down and reevaluate everything. Sounds to me like you and your husband just need to reconnect with each other. I want you to stop going around with this man at the office. People see and they talk. The last thing you want to have happen is everyone in your business, which would put you in an unfavorable position. You and your husband should definitely try marriage counseling and figure out what the real problem is. You say he is a good man, please don’t jeopardize your marriage by doing something foolish. You two got married for a reason and while marriage is hard work, it is worth all of the unconditional love, respect, time and effort. Be encouraged.
