Two teens shot on Far South Side

Defender Staff Report

Two teens were shot this morning while standing in the 13100 block of South Langley Avenue, police said.

At about 4 a.m. in the Chicago Housing Authority’s Altgeld Gardens public housing development, a 14- and 17-year-old told police “three unknown offenders approached them on foot” and started shooting, according to Chicago Police News Affairs officer Laura Kubiak.

Both were shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

No arrests have been made.
