CD PARTNER: An Evening with the 100 Black Men of Chicago Inc.

100 BLACK MEN OF CHICAGO, INC. has continued to be extremely active and impactful as a leading community based organization. The organization’s success with mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic development outreach programs has been evident locally, nationally, and internationally.   We are dedicated to the making a difference in the lives of our youth and their community. Our Mission Statement says it clearly:

To improve the quality of life and enhance educational opportunity for African-American males throughout the Greater Chicago area.

Since its inception in 1994, the 100 BLACK MEN OF CHICAGO, INC., has worked to enhance the lives of those youth and their families who live in socially or economically underserved communities. We provide on-going educational training programs, mentoring, tutoring, access to scholarships, financial literacy programs, and other services with the help and support of community partners and volunteers.

Specifically we want to accomplish our mission by delivering the following:
•    Encourage Academic Excellence through our College Prep Initiative
•    Support Education and Lifestyle Changes to address Health and Wellness issues that acutely impact the African-American community
•    Promote Financial Literacy and Money Management skills
•    Expose young people to a world beyond their immediate community
•    Instill A System Of Values, Ethics And Respect For Others via our mentoring programs

Over the past five years, our signature outreach event has been our annual College Scholarship Fair. We attract over 5,000 students each year from high schools and community organizations from the Chicago area, downstate Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Missouri. These students interact with recruiters from over 150 Colleges and Universities. To date, this event has resulted in nearly $15 million in scholarships!   

To continue building upon the success we have witnessed to date, we are hosting our 12th Annual Awards and Benefit Fundraiser. Our theme this year is, “Influencing a Commitment to Service”. Please join us as we recognize prominent leaders and celebrate the accomplishments of youth and other beneficiaries of our programs.
