JERSEYVILLE,
Grand jurors indicted 56-year-old Roger Schroeder in May 2006, accusing him of sexually abusing and drugging a female patient during her hospitalization four months earlier.
A similar case later was added, and both cases will be combined in the one trial that began Monday in Jerseyville.
Schroeder is charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery and criminal sexual abuse.
