CHICAGO — It's official now that the Chicago Bulls have made it into the National Basketball Association playoffs.
The Bulls' magic number was down to one on Friday, and even though they didn't play Friday night, they gained a playoff spot when the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Charlotte Bobcats 84-81. That eliminated Charlotte, giving the Bulls at least the eighth seed in the NBA's Eastern Conference.
The Bulls are tied with the Detroit Pistons for the seventh spot with three games to play, and the first of those games was Saturday night against the visiting Bobcats.
