A 19-year-old was robbed of $40 then shot Sunday while on his way to a store on the South Side.
At about 9 p.m., the teen was approached by a group of at least four Black males in the 7800 block of South Hermitage Avenue, police said.
One of the offenders brandished a handgun and told the victim to get on the ground, then rifled through his pockets before shooting him in the leg, police said.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition.
No other injuries were reporter, and no arrests have been made.
