Last month, representatives from Jewel-Osco helped to spread Black on Black love at a Thanksgiving holiday giveaway. The local grocer donated turkeys for an event held Nov. 25 in the Great Hall at Kennedy King College. Jewel-Osco supplied the turkeys and the organization Black On Black Love purchased other bag-fillers, such as eggs, bread,cranberrry sauce and fruit. An estimated 200-plus families received bags of food.
