South Side resident Rosa Wilkes, with her early voting ballot by her side, celebrated her 110th birthday on Oct. 10. Wilkes, affectionately called "Nana," said she never could have imagined a Black man poised to be the president but sees that it may now be a reality. She said she is voting for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.
