4. I'm having trouble viewing the website since it's been upgraded. How can I see your site?

7. I would like to submit my article or press release to your newspaper. How do I go about doing so?
Please contact Lou Ransom, our Executive Editor, with your query letter and credentials. You can also write blogs by registering as a member through our site. Press releases may be faxed to 312.225.9231 or emailed to editorial@chicagodefender.com.
8. I want to submit an event to your Events Calendar, but I don't see an option to do so. How do I go about doing so?
In order to add your event to our website, you must be a registered member on our website. After registering for your free account, please click the "Events Calendar" title. The next screen will have an option to "Submit Your Event." Click the "Editor" button on the right-hand side above the text box, and fill in all necessary information. If you have photos or .jpeg flyer images to attach to the event, upload in the "Photo" area. After you have finished, select "Submit." After this event has been confirmed and approved, it will be visible on the Events Calendar. Turnaround time is usually 24 hours.
9. I'd like to start creating a blog. How do I set one up with your site?
Register with our website for a free account, and you are automatically eligible to start your blogs immediately.
10. I am looking for an article that I can't find on your website. How do I go about doing so?
The Chicago Defender website was created in 2008, so any articles before 2008 would either have to be ordered by purchasing a previous copy of our newspaper or by using the Archives link. If the article you're looking for was printed between January 1, 1905 and December 31, 1975, contact our Archives representative. If the article you're looking for came out between 1976 and 2007, please contact our Circulation department to order back copies. If the article you're looking for came out in 2008, contact our Web Editor to help you find the article or contact the Circulation department to order a back copy.
11. I would like to write a Letter to the Editor. How do I go about doing so?

12. Can I buy an individual copy of the Defender online (ex. Presidential Election 2008 edition)?
Our site is not currently set up to buy individual copies. You can, however, subscribe to the digital edition for $10 annually in order to get the current edition quickly by clicking on the "CDO Digital button" that looks like this (middle, right-hand side of page):
