The Luck Care Center recently hosted their 2nd annual kickoff of Sistah Handle Your Business Cause No One Does It Better!!! health awareness event.
Held at Gallery Marchetti’s breathtaking outdoor summer garden, a bevy of beautiful people came out to show their support in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Guests were enlightened by a question and answer town hall meeting, which featured several health professionals and local media celebrities who all weighed in on how we can truly bring awareness to our community.
The evening included a variety of hors d’oeuvres, great gift bags and Chicago’s own DJ Phantom provided sounds that had everyone dancing the night away. Dedicated to the late Sherry L. Luck, MD, The Luck Care Center is an HIV/AIDS primary care specialty clinic, and the only clinic independently operated by African Americans in the state of Illinois.
