Local Black businesses make Black Enterprise 100 list

Black Enterprise magazine’s 100 List contained 10 Black-owned Chicago businesses this year.

R.J. Dale Advertising & Public Relations Inc., E. Morris Communications Inc., Ariel Investments LLC, Capri Capital Partners LLC., Holland Capital Management LLC, Profit Investment Management, Seaway Bank and Trust Co., Loop Capital Markets LLC., Baldwin Richardson Foods Co. and Power & Sons Construction Co. made the cut.

Capri Capital Partners made the list for first time. Baldwin Richardson Foods and Power & Sons Construction both moved up the list this year, due to revenue increases. Loop Capital Markets is No. 2 on the list.

The chief executive officers of the 10 businesses are members of the Alliance of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs. Established in 1992, ABLE is a non-profit organization made up of Chicago’s top African American CEOs.

ABLE has 42 members in diverse fields and the combined revenue of all its members totals $1 billion. An ABLE member’s company has an average of 63 employees, and all of the organization’s members have been in business for at least 10 years.
