Man dies after being shot by Chicago police

Chicago Police News Affairs says the man was shot early Sunday morning in an exchange of gunfire with officers who were responding to a report of shots being fired. He later died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in suburban Oak Lawn.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the death but did not have the man's identity.
It was the second police-involved shooting over the holiday weekend.
On Friday evening, an adult male was shot by police after a traffic stop in the South Shore neighborhood. That man was reported in serious condition Sunday.
Both shootings are under investigation by the Chicago Independent Police Review Authority. (AP)
