Woods replaces James Green, who resigned as the Delta Devil's head coach to take over the job at Jacksonville State. During his collegiate career at Kentucky, he led the Wildcats in assists in each of his three seasons and ranks fifth on the school's all-time list in the category with 482. His number 11 jersey is retired by the school and hangs in the rafters at Adolph Rupp Arena.
