CHICAGO (AP) — A 3-year-old Chicago girl has been
killed by a falling TV.
The Cook County medical examiner's office says
Shaniya Singleton died at a Chicago hospital Tuesday evening after the
television fell on her head while she was playing with her brother. Chicago
police and investigators from the Illinois Department of Children and Family
Services are looking into her death.
Singleton is the second child killed by a falling
TV in the past 10 days.
On Oct. 30, 6-year-old Karl Clermont died when a TV
fell on his head at his home in Arlington Heights. The boy was alone when the
TV fell and police believe he may have tried to climb onto the set, causing it
to fall.
