Missionary Baptist Church, 8400 S. Halsted St., in an effort “to keep our
children safe,” will host “Hallelujah Night” on Monday, Oct. 31, Halloween,
from 5-8 p.m. On the agenda for the evening: fun, food and games for youngsters
of all ages, says the Rev. Dr. Howard Randolph, pastor. Please register your
child or children in advance on the sign up sheet located in the church foyer.
As always, parents are asked to pick-up their children on time if dropping them
off. Additionally, if parents can stay and help with the planned activities, it

Maurice Wallace, senior pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Durham, NC,
comes this way on Sunday, Nov. 11 to deliver the annual Men’s Day Sermon at

King Dr., celebrates the Third Anniversary of its pastor, Rev. Gregory Sean
Hardaway, during three special services -- Friday, Nov. 11, 7:30 p.m., and
Sunday, Nov. 13, 10:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The congregation of Morning Star is
inviting all “to join us as we celebrate and rejoice in the Lord and all His
goodness.”

Congrats to
All Nations Choir that’s heading to Hollywood, Calif. for the final music
competition, “How Sweet the Sound,” at the Staples Center on Friday. The
national gospel choir competition is sponsored by Verizon. All Nations,
Chicago's largest multicultural gospel choir won three of four awards in
September at the United Center at the regional competition.
Securing
the Best Large Choir, the Peoples’ Choice and the Regional awards has now
secured the choir a position at the national competition and will now be representing
the Midwest Region and their hometown, Chicago. The choir departs from Midway
airport on Thursday. And if it wins in Los Angeles will be invited to perform
at the Superbowl in Indianapolis.
