CHICAGO (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama will be in
Chicago next week to talk about her campaign to end childhood obesity.
Obama will come to her hometown Tuesday to meet
with mayors from around the country at a Walgreens drug store that was expanded
to include basic groceries. Obama has said healthy, affordable and accessible
food is part of ending childhood obesity. The first lady will give remarks at
the store.
Obama will then visit Iron Street Urban Farms with
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The seven-acre site on Chicago's South Side
produces food year-round.
Mayors from around the U.S. will be in Chicago for
a summit on food accessibility.
