CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago community health center
says a $3 million grant from the state will help it provide better patient
care.
The Lawndale Christian Health Center is one of 14
centers throughout Illinois that's sharing a $30.5 million grant from the
state's capital construction program. Other health centers outside Chicago
receiving grants include facilities in Anna, Carbondale and Champaign.
Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn praised the work of
community health centers as the best way to deliver health care in
neighborhoods.
