CHICAGO (AP) — The children's hospital at the University of Illinois at Chicago is holding a free back-to-school health fair.
The event runs Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at
the UIC Student Center West, at 828 S. Wolcott Ave.
Kids will be offered physicals, vision and dental
screenings and health counseling on nutrition, diabetes risk and other
concerns. Pediatricians will also offer health and safety tips, and several
aldermen will be on hand to interact with students.
The hospital says parents should bring their
children's immunization records, and the first 500 kids will receive goody bags
with school supplies.
