Finally!
After months of anticipation, preparation, matching colors, selecting the dress
– that hopefully another girl didn't pick too – and hitting their parents’
pockets hard, high school seniors all over Chicagoland enjoyed one of the most
magical events of their high school days: prom.
Hotels
all over the city and suburbs turned their ballrooms into dance halls as
youngsters arrived in the finest, shiniest rides – girls with their hair laid,
nails done and guys sharp and tight.
Some
students had the red carpet rolled out for them at the prom, after being sent
off following toasts and lots of picture-taking as they left home.
Prom
night marks one of the last celebrations, as a class, the youth attend before
moving on to college or other life endeavors. When it's all said and done, the
young adults finally hit the dance floor and enjoy themselves with their
friends with whom they've spent the last four years - longer for some who came
from the same elementary school.
Prom
usually ends up being a night to remember for the rest of students' lives.
