Kuumba celebration at Holy Name Cathedral

Several schools from the Archdiocesan Catholic schools participated Friday in the 33rd Annual African American Heritage Month Mass at Holy Name Cathedral.

The liturgy, celebrating the Nguzo Saba principal of Kuumba –– or “creativity” –– showcased African culture in dance, music and song. A special choir of students from various Catholic schools sang.
